Sweet Potato Casserole

My Momma’s Famous Mac N Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 box of macaroni shells

  • 1 8oz block of velveeta cheese

  • 1 8oz block block of sharp cheddar cheese

  • Bechamel Sauce

  • 1 stick of butter

  • 1/2 cup of flour

  • 2 cups whole milk, to start

  • 1 tablespoon ground mustard

  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg

  • 1 tablespoon worchestire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

Directions

  • Bechamel Sauce - Note - Your noodles should be boiling at the same ime.

  • On medium heat, melt the butter.

  • Once butter is melted add in the flour and stir consistently to make sure it is all incorporated

  • add in milk slowly and keep stirring to prevent clumping

  • Sauce will thicken up on its own as flour begins to cook. If too thick add in more milk. Consistency should be like cake batter (this should take around 10 minutes)

  • Shred & cube velveeta & sharp cheddar cheese

  • In a oven safe pan it’s time to build your layers

    • noodles, bechamel sauce then shredded & cubed cheese

  • sprinkle breadcrumbs & cube butter over top

  • Cook in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes
